Maya is a medium-to-large dog with a balanced, muscular build. She is good company in the home, intelligent and active, and able to form excellent relationships with children and other dogs. In fact, Maya is quite submissive and stays out of trouble. She is not suitable for homes with cats or rabbits, as her hunting instinct may get the better of her. She would be best suited to a very experienced person who could manage living alongside felines or rodents. Finally, her intelligence makes her easy to train in obedience.
