Maya was found together with her sister, Lydia, when they were just tiny puppies, and they both came to our shelter. She is one of those curious puppies who wants to discover everything. She heads out for walks with enthusiasm, sniffing, observing and constantly exploring new things. Every now and then, though, she pauses, turns her head and looks back at her person, just to make sure everything is okay before happily carrying on. Loud or unfamiliar sounds may make her hesitate for a moment, but she adapts quickly, and every new experience helps her grow a little braver. She loves being petted, enjoys human contact and genuinely seems to cherish the time she spends with people. Maya is still at the very beginning of her life. Day by day she is becoming more confident, discovering the world in her own unique way. Everything suggests that she will grow into a wonderful companion for a family willing to show her, with patience and love, just how beautiful life can be. She will soon be spayed, and then she will be ready to begin the most exciting chapter of her life: finding a family of her own.
