πΉ Meet Luigi πΉ 8-month-old Brown and White | Neutered Male Guinea Pig Luigi came into the care of All Animal Rescue alongside his companion, Popcorn, after their owner was no longer able to manage the conflict between them. Although they cared deeply for both boys, their personalities simply weren't compatible. Luigi is a sociable, submissive young guinea pig with plenty of character. He can happily live with other guinea pigs, provided they have a large, well-designed enclosure with multiple hides, feeding stations and enough space to move away from each other when they choose. Given a spacious enough enclosure, Luigi is likely to mix well with most guinea pigs. As with all guinea pigs, Luigi will need a spacious enclosure, unlimited good-quality hay, a balanced diet of quality guinea pig pellets and fresh vegetables, and plenty of enrichment to keep him happy and healthy. Approximate Monthly Costs Although pet insurance is not currently available for guinea pigs in the UK, they are classed as exotic pets and veterinary treatment can become expensive if they become unwell. We strongly recommend setting aside at least Β£10 per month in a dedicated savings account for unexpected veterinary costs.
