Adopt Melle Tortue

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 8 months

Miss for close ones Miss is 8 months old. She was born outside among a colony of stray cats. She is a small cat, a very tiny size under 3 kg. She is very playful and affectionate in her own way. She loves petting, rubbing against legs and sitting beside. She hasn't yet understood that if she comes ON us she can also have cuddles but I think one day it will click. Like any good cat born outside Miss Tortoise is bad at selling herself..... When she sees strangers her first reflex is to flee So she won't jump into your arms if you come to see her but it's normal. Otherwise she is a little girl cat OK with cats and OK with children. Unknown dog relationship. She can live in an apartment. She is cool and funny.

Entente chien inconnue. Elle peut vivre en appartement. Elle est cool et rigolote. Et elle est en pleine forme

About Melle Tortue

What life with Melle Tortue looks like

Melle Tortue is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at La Patte Normande in Bolleville.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Melle Tortue, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Melle Tortue?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. La Patte Normande handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Melle Tortue on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Melle Tortue if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — La Patte Normande will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Melle Tortue already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Melle Tortue isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with La Patte Normande early rather than rehoming privately; they know Melle Tortue and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
