Caesar is a very hugging cat, very in need of caresses and very close to the man. He's also a great player. César est un chat très câlin, très en demande de caresses et très proche de l’homme. Il est aussi très joueur. Sa mère ayant un calicivirus, César peut être potentiellement porteur du virus (mais peut ne pas le déclarer). Il est également positif à leucose, mais encore non déclaré. La leucose féline est proche du SIDA mais pas de panique, ce virus ne se transmet pas à l’homme ni aux autres espèces animales. Un chat contaminé peut rester porteur sain pendant plusieurs mois ou années avant que la maladie ne se développe. Pendant cette phase, l’animal est dit séropositif pour le FeLV, mais ne présente aucun symptôme de la maladie. En revanche, étant porteur du virus, il est contagieux. Quand la maladie se développe, comme lorsqu’un homme souffre du SIDA, on observe une immunodéficience rendant l’animal très sensible à toutes les infections, ce qui limite sa durée de vie. La leucose se transmet de chat à chat par l’urine, les déjections, la salive. Le virus est peu résistant dans le milieu extérieur, ainsi, les risques de contamination sont quasiment nuls pour un chat sain passant après un chat contaminé dans une pièce. Une désinfection du matériel suffit. Il n’existe pas de traitement contre la leucose, il est donc important de protéger le chat au maximum des maladies, notamment en gardant à jour ses vaccins typhus / coryza. César est a adopter en chat seul ou bien avec d’autres chats vaccinés leucose. César est adoptable dans toute la Normandie contre un don libre.
