She received her name because she was found in our shelter's Mercedes Sprinter. At the time, she was just a tiny kitten and we suspect she was quite clever, using our transport vehicle to be brought to the animal shelter! For the first few months, she spent her time at a wonderful foster home. Now, she is at the animal shelter and waiting for a new home.MERCEDES was initially a very timid kitten, but she gradually relaxed and now enjoys the cuddles from our volunteer helpers. She may still react shyly to people she doesn't know, but she overcomes this phase after some time. She can be picked up to move her, but she doesn't like to be held for long. She loves to play and also likes to take a nap in a warm, sunny spot.MERCEDES lived with many other kittens at her foster home. Now, she shares her enclosure with other adult cats. She gets along well with all of them, but she doesn't have a special friend to cuddle with.MERCEDES also met a small dog at her foster home. It is possible that she could live with a quiet, cat-friendly dog in her new home. She wishes for a playmate her age. She would also be fine with children who are accustomed to handling cats. A cat-safe netted balcony or a secure yard would make her very happy.MERCEDES has spent almost her entire life in the animal shelter and at the foster home. She has watched many of her feline friends find new homes and she would be so happy if she could also find her great fortune.

Sie erhielt ihren Namen weil sie im Mercedes-Sprinter unseres Tierheims aufgefunden wurde. Damals war sie noch ein ganz winziges Kätzchen und sie war offenbar auch sehr schlau, denn wir vermuten, dass sie unseren Transporter benutzte, um ins Tierheim gebracht zu werden!Die ersten Monate verbrachte sie auf einer wunderbaren Pflegestelle. Jetzt ist sie im Tierheim und wartet auf ein neues Zuhause.Mercedes war anfangs ein sehr ängstliches Kätzchen, aber sie entspannte sich allmählich und mittlerweile genießt sie die Streicheleinheiten der ehrenamtlichen Helfer. Auf Menschen, die sie noch nicht kennt, kann sie immer noch etwas schüchtern reagieren, aber diese Phase überwindet sie nach einiger Zeit. Man kann sie auf den Arm nehmen, um sie zu bewegen, aber sie mag nicht lange festgehalten werden. Sie spielt gerne und legt auch gerne mal eine Schlafrunde ein an einem warmen, sonnigen Ort.Mercedes hat auf ihrer Pflegestelle mit vielen anderen Kätzchen zusammengelebt. Jetzt teilt sie sich ihr Gehege mit anderen, erwachsenen Katzen. Sie versteht sich mit allen gut, aber einen besonderen Freund zum Kuscheln hat sie nicht.Mercedes hat auf der Pflegestelle auch einen kleinen Hund kennengelernt. Es ist möglich, dass sie in ihrem neuen Zuhause mit einem ruhigen, katzenfreundlichen Hund zusammenleben könnte.Sie wünscht sich einen Katzenkumpel in ihrem Alter zum Spielen. Auch mit Kindern, die den Umgang mit Katzen gewöhnt sind, würde sie klarkommen.
