Together with her sister Elisabeth, she came into the shelter – now she can arrive in a foster home in Recklinghausen and search for a forever home. Mey could have a good Chihuahua component, perhaps mixed with poodle or terrier – that explains her charm and her compact size. She will also grow into a small female dog. Mey is described by her foster home as a cheerful, open little girl. She is cautious at first, but not afraid. She is already house-trained, sleeps through the night, and is happy to see every visitor. Outdoors, she still orientates herself on the existing female dog on walks, but she is becoming more secure daily. In the house, she shows herself to be uncomplicated and can settle down – a true heart-warming companion. Even though Mey is currently learning the first steps of the dog ABC (leash walking, polite encounters, relaxing at home, short alone times) in her foster home, her future people should start here: with patience, clear routines, and positive reinforcement.
