Mia

Mixed Breed · Unknown

A wonderfully spotted little girl puppy with freckles on her nose and a delicate white marking on her face is our little Mia. Playful and mischievous, clingy and curious. Ready for life. Poor little Mia hasn't had the chance to learn anything yet, as she was given to the animal shelter at the age of six weeks. Since then, she's been in the kennel. The only things she's had the chance to learn are other dogs, and at the photo shoot, one of the shelter cats. She finds both delightful. Unfortunately, the cat wasn't in the mood to play, no matter how much the little Mia tried to encourage her. During the photo shoot, the little mouse enjoys the embrace of the animal caretaker, who is moved by so much puppy affection and trust. Mia loves people, as she has shown. Patiently, she let the leash be put around her neck and took a few puppy steps on her tiny little legs. Later, she will surely become a talented walker. If Mia had a carry-on bag, it would already be packed in her kennel. We wish this so loving and enchanting little girl puppy the chance to finally learn what it's like to lie in a dog bed, on a blanket – on something that warms. The winter is harsh in Romania… We wish Mia a toy, a bowl, well-filled with healthy food, fresh water at all times, and sometimes a knuckle bone. You, dear animal friend, dear animal friend, say, "That's of course!" Yes, it should be, you're right. That a puppy needs a lot of exercise and mental stimulation, and that a puppy as young as Mia should also attend good dog training classes, we want to emphasize here. For all of this, time and patience are needed. Rewarded will be abundantly. With loyalty, friendship, and love in abundance. And with fun and unforgettable beautiful shared experiences. Have you fallen a little in love with Mia? Can Mia unpack her carry-on bag full of all those wonderful rewards at your home? Then please call Mia's broker (please only during the day) or write an email. You will be kindly advised and guided on the way to a possible adoption © 2006-2024 by animal welfare association Europa e.V. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

About Mia

What life with Mia looks like

Mia is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
