Mia

Female · Young · 1 year

Noa and Mia were sent to the shelter from one day to the next. Suddenly the family said they were allergic, so the dogs had to go. Without any warning, these two girls were moved from a real home to a kennel in the shelter. They are, of course, nervous and confused. Mia is a stunningly beautiful mixed breed girl with some Belgian Malinois in her genes. Her body posture makes you stare, as she stands so proudly and straight with her elegantly long legs, a straight back, and a long, majestic tail. As expected from her breed and age, she is energetic, loves to run, and is very curious about everything happening around her. Mia also looks out for her friend Noa. For example, when we put a harness on Noa, she comes over to check that we are being nice to her and that everything is fine. She recently went on a trip through the city and also visited a cafe. She was quite nervous but behaved really well. She listens very closely to humans and wants to do everything right. She can easily live with another male dog, and for now, she already shares her kennel with a male. Mia's shoulder height is 65 cm.

About Mia

What life with Mia looks like

Mia is a large young adult dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Currently confused and nervous due to sudden abandonment, bonded with another dog named Noa

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
