MICI

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Mici, a beautiful and friendly female dog, was born in May 2023. She was found alone on the street in mid-July 2023 and brought to the animal shelter. She had a microchip with owner information. When shelter manager Kata contacted the owner, she heard the story that is often told about found dogs. The owner had already given the dog to someone else, but had no data or contact with this person. So Mici stayed in the shelter and now has the chance to find a great home where she is wanted and loved. At first, Mici was a bit unsure and submissive, but she quickly realized that no one here wanted to hurt her and so she opened up more and more, now showing a charming and very sweet grin and simply enjoying the attention. She shows herself as a friendly, approachable and lively dog. She still needs to practice walking nicely on a leash, but she can stop and enjoy it when cuddling. She gets along well with her fellow dogs. But the active dog is a bit too much for some, especially in a small space in the kennel, so Mici is currently housed alone. We are now looking for a loving home for the sweet Mici with active and dog-experienced people. After her introduction, the adventurous fur ball will definitely enjoy beautiful trips and exciting adventures, as well as possibly dog sports. Of course, she still needs to learn the entire dog 1x1. Mici moves to her new home spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and with an EU pet passport. Has the wonderful fur ball made it into your heart? Then we look forward to your message! You can use the self-disclosure form (or the contact form) to get in touch.

About MICI

What life with MICI looks like

MICI is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenretter Ungarn in Pfotenretter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting MICI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MICI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenretter Ungarn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MICI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MICI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenretter Ungarn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MICI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MICI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenretter Ungarn early rather than rehoming privately; they know MICI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
