Mielee came to the shelter after attacking her owner multiple times. She was kept alone as an indoor-only cat for 12 hours daily, leading to depression and frustration-based aggression. Health checks including MRI found no medical issues. She received antidepressants and behavioral therapy at the shelter, showing significant improvement. No longer attacks staff but still makes threat displays with strangers. Now seeks home with unlimited outdoor access in low-traffic area near woods/fields. Requires experienced cat owners willing to continue training. Multiple meet-and-greets mandatory. Has become relaxed with known caregivers, enjoys petting and brushing, shows playful personality and excellent hunting skills.

Mielee braucht Menschen mit Katzenerfahrung und ein Zuhause mit uneingeschränktem Freigang. Sie kam zu uns ins Tierheim, weil es im vorherigen Zuhause mehrfach zu schwierigen Situationen mit ihrer Halterin kam. Mielee wurde seit dem Kittenalter als Einzelkatze in der Wohnung gehalten und war viele Stunden am Tag allein. Diese Situation hat sie offenbar stark belastet. Gesundheitlich wurden bei Mielee keine Ursachen gefunden. Sie wurde gründlich untersucht; auch ein MRT blieb ohne Befund. Im Tierheim war Mielee anfangs sehr gestresst. In belastenden Momenten zeigte sie Schein- und Drohverhalten, um Abstand zu bekommen. Für eine Zeit bekam sie Antidepressiva. Parallel haben wir ruhig mit ihr gearbeitet, ihr gezeigt, dass von uns keine Gefahr ausgeht, und sie mit Beschäftigungsspielen unterstützt. Nach und nach wurde es besser, sodass die Medikamente ausgeschlichen werden konnten. Für Mielee suchen wir ein Zuhause mit uneingeschränktem Freigang in verkehrsarmer Umgebung, idealerweise in der Nähe von Wald, Feld und Flur. Ihre Menschen sollten Erfahrung mit Katzen haben, Mielee gut lesen können und bereit sein, weiter mit ihr zu üben. Im Tierheim hat Mielee keine Pflegerin verletzt. Sie kann in unsicheren Situationen aber deutlich zeigen, dass sie Abstand braucht. Deshalb sind mehrere Kennenlerntermine wichtig und Voraussetzung für eine
