Adopt Miguelín

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

🐾 My name is Miguelín – and this is my story 🐾 Hi there… I’m Miguelín. Since March 2026, I’ve been living in safety, but my start in life wasn’t easy. I was simply left behind in a dog run. I don’t know why, but I try to look forward. You should know that I am a fearful dog. New situations often scare me, and when I feel cornered, sometimes I don’t see any other way out than snapping. But believe me, I don’t want to hurt anyone. I just need people who understand me, give me time, and show me that the world can be safe too. I get along very well with other dogs, whether male dogs or female dogs. This gives me a sense of stability. I’m still not sure how I feel about cats or children. Driving in a car is no problem for me; I do it nicely. Can I walk on a leash? Unfortunately, I’m not sure about that yet, but we can always check and practice if needed. I have moderate energy. I love to play, but I also need calm and security. I tested positive for Ehrlichiosis (a bacterial infection), but it is being treated. A quiet home, patient people, and a lot of understanding. Someone who shows me that I don’t need to be afraid anymore. Maybe you are exactly the right person for me? Upon arrival, I will be vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and I will have my EU pet passport with me.

About Miguelín

What life with Miguelín looks like

Miguelín is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miguelín, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miguelín?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miguelín on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miguelín if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miguelín already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miguelín isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miguelín and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
