Throughout this care, she always keeps a close eye on her charges. One day, she noticed that Mikesch sometimes walked in a slightly unusual way. Although everything seemed fine again shortly afterward, Ilza couldn't shake the thought. When Mikesch was caught for neutering, Ilza decided not to return him to the streets and instead took him to an orthopedic specialist. The examination revealed that Mikesch has a mild to moderate patellar luxation in his left knee. Occasionally, the kneecap slips out of its normal position. At the moment, this doesn't cause him any major problems, which is why the orthopedist is currently advising against surgery. Should his condition change in the future, there would be the option of surgically correcting his knee. Mikesch is simply a cat you can't help but fall in love with. He's incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and thoroughly enjoys being around his people. Closeness and shared time are very important to him— you can tell just how much he cherishes the company of his caregivers. He also shows friendliness and relaxation toward other cats. With his loving nature, Mikesch is a wonderful treasure who gives his humans so much affection. Despite his little quirk, Mikesch has so much love to give. He longs for people who will love him exactly as he is and provide him with a safe and beautiful life as a cat. Surely, somewhere out there, there’s already a perfect home waiting for him—a place where he can finally settle down and stay forever.

Dabei behält sie ihre Schützlinge immer gut im Blick. Eines Tages fiel ihr auf, dass Mikesch zeitweise etwas merkwürdig lief. Kurz darauf schien zwar wieder alles in Ordnung zu sein, doch Ilza ließ der Gedanke keine Ruhe. Als Mikesch zur Kastration eingefangen wurde, entschied Ilza deshalb, ihn nicht wieder auf die Straße zurückzubringen und ihn einem Orthopäden vorzustellen. Die Untersuchung ergab, dass Mikesch eine leichte bis mittelgradige Patellaluxation am linken Knie hat. Dabei springt die Kniescheibe gelegentlich aus ihrer normalen Position. Momentan bereitet ihm das keine größeren Probleme, weshalb der Orthopäde aktuell von einer Operation absieht. Sollte sich das einmal ändern, gibt es die Möglichkeit, sein Knie operativ zu korrigieren. Mikesch ist einfach ein Kater zum Verlieben. Er ist unglaublich lieb, verschmust und genießt es sehr, bei seinen Menschen zu sein. Nähe und gemeinsame Zeit sind ihm wichtig – man merkt ihm an, wie sehr er die Gesellschaft seiner Bezugspersonen schätzt. Auch mit anderen Katzen zeigt er sich freundlich und entspannt. Mit seiner liebevollen Art ist Mikesch ein wunderbarer Schatz, der seinen Menschen ganz viel Zuneigung schenkt. Mikesch hat trotz seiner kleinen Besonderheit so viel Liebe zu geben. Er wünscht sich Menschen, die ihn so liebhaben, wie er ist, und ihm ein sicheres und schönes Katzenleben schenken. Bestimmt wartet irgendwo schon genau das Nest auf ihn, in dem er endlich für immer ankommen darf.
