Miksas nyk. Miki

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

• Need a quiet environment: Yes • Can live in the city: Yes • Get along with families with children: No • Can get along with other dogs: Yes • Have lived with cats: No • I have the following special features regarding personality or breed characteristics: Tendency to separation anxiety • Have lived in foster care at home: Yes • Have been in shelter kennel for more than 2 years: No • Know how to walk on a leash: Yes – but when left alone, I become anxious Greetings everyone! My latest updates have slipped away, so it's really time to update my information. Working together has produced results – my loneliness has started to ease. I no longer do my business inside, and I am no longer renovating my person's things – unless you count sorting the mail that falls out of the mailbox, which all the newspapers don't quite survive in a readable way. I can already handle a few hours of being alone quite nicely. However, I enjoy my person's company and doing all kinds of things with them.

Ihmiseni on best!

About Miksas nyk. Miki

What life with Miksas nyk. Miki looks like

Miksas nyk. Miki is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pet Rescue Finland in Helsinki.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Separation anxiety, leash reactivity during encounters with other dogs

🇫🇮Adopting from Finland

Frequently asked

Adopting Miksas nyk. Miki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miksas nyk. Miki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pet Rescue Finland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miksas nyk. Miki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miksas nyk. Miki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pet Rescue Finland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miksas nyk. Miki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miksas nyk. Miki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pet Rescue Finland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miksas nyk. Miki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FI). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
