Mila II

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Current location: Romania (Orastie) Born: March 2024 Gender: female Character: very playful, social, open-minded Speciality: / Hello and meow, my name is Mila. I was born in March 2024. The animal rescuer Manuela found us five siblings along with our mom Belly, when we were probably only a few days old. Probably we were abandoned because Mom was pregnant and someone did not want to take care of us, so of more hungry little mouths, and they did not have Mom spayed. Fortunately, Manuela took us with her, so that Mom could raise us in peace and we could make our first wobbly steps and gain strength safely. Manuela says that our mom did an amazing job and raised us really well, although she was probably still very young at the time of our birth - the veterinarian estimates she was not even a year old yet. Mom is also not much bigger than us and could pass for another sister. Now we are big enough to be rehomed. We would like to find a new home together, because we understand each other very well and in our new home we would love to have a playmate of the same age with whom we can run around the apartment/house and burn off energy. After all, we are kittens and are still very playful and active, so you should be aware of that. Therefore, we will definitely not be given away in single housing, so please do not inquire about us if you only want one cat in your home. My sister Elli and I can be easily told apart. The three boys (Emil, Huckleberry and Merlin) look very similar, sometimes you have to look twice to tell them apart. We are already vaccinated (cat flu, feline panleukopenia, rabies) and will also be freshly treated for internal and external parasites just before we start our journey to you. In addition, we are microchipped and have our own EU pet passport. Currently, we are too young and too delicate to be spayed, as this would interfere with our development at the moment. However, Manuela is keeping a close eye on it and even if we travel to you unspayed, we will need to be spayed when we are old enough.

About Mila II

What life with Mila II looks like

Mila II is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Seelenkatzen e.V. in Barsinghausen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mila II, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mila II?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelenkatzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mila II on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mila II if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelenkatzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mila II already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mila II isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelenkatzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mila II and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
