Adopt Mila (reserviert)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

The pretty Mila is about 3 years old, female, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. With her gray fur and rather delicate build, she is a truly unique presence. Currently, Mila still lives at home, but unfortunately, it has become clear that she does not get along with the existing tomcat at all. Despite all efforts, the stress for Mila led to her becoming untidy. A veterinary examination revealed no health issues—rather, everything suggests that Mila is not comfortable in the current situation. Therefore, a new home is being sought for her with a heavy heart, where she can find peace. Ideally, it would be a household without other cats, so Mila can finally relax and be herself. Mila has been an indoor cat so far and currently shows no interest in going outside—when given the chance, she wanted to come back inside immediately. A secure balcony would therefore be a welcome change. We wish for understanding people with patience for Mila, who can give her the time to settle in and gain trust. When she feels safe, she will surely show what a wonderful companion she can be. Just write to us. As soon as we receive your message, we will contact you as quickly as possible. Please allow us one to two days for a response.

About Mila (reserviert)

What life with Mila (reserviert) looks like

Mila (reserviert) is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutz Euskirchen e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mila (reserviert), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mila (reserviert)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Euskirchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mila (reserviert) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mila (reserviert) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz Euskirchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mila (reserviert) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mila (reserviert) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Euskirchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mila (reserviert) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
