Milano

Male · Young · 1 year

Meet Milano! Milano is a loving, playful boy with a big personality who enjoys cuddles, head bumps and having fun with his favourite toys. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home where he can feel safe, settled and loved, and show you just how special he is. Milano would benefit from a quiet settling room to start with, but once he feels safe, it shouldn’t take him long to start making friends and showing his lovely personality. He could live with calm, older school aged children who are happy to give him space when needed and enjoy getting to know him. Once Milano is settled and comfortable in his new home, he will need safe outdoor access where he can explore, play and burn off some of his energy. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Milano, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About Milano

What life with Milano looks like

Milano is a large young adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milano, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milano?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milano on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milano if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milano already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milano isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milano and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
