Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 12 years

The sunshine sausages are autumn-ready in their smart new coats! Adorable Milly and Chloe are an inseparable pair of standard Dachshunds who came into the Oldies Club rescue after the death of their owner. They are in a foster home near Tavistock in Devon, waiting for someone to offer them a fabulous new home together. Introducing the sausages: We were told that Milly and Chloe are litter sisters, aged around 11. Their microchip records state that they were born in June 2014, which makes them 12 years old. However, although Milly does seem to be that age, Chloe seems younger, and the vet thought so too. It's something of mystery. If they are litter sisters, poor Milly must have had a much harder paper round! Chloe on the left, Milly on the right Milly weighs 12kg and stands 11″ from floor to top of head. Chloe weighs 10kg and stands 10″ from floor to top of head. They need to be your only pets and they'd like you to be at home a lot of the time. You must be happy for them to sleep on your bed! They will enjoy having children visit. These little darlings are inseparable and they need a quiet home with a pleasant easy-access garden for them to enjoy. They will even bring their own paddling pool along with them to enjoy in the summer! Milly on the left, Chloe on the right Settled quickly: Within 2-3 days, the girls had made themselves nicely at home with their foster carers. They have been OK when left on their own for a couple of hours. Chloe on the left, Milly on the right Need to be your only dogs: Milly and Chloe are inseparable but they don't want to live with other dogs. Milly barks at dogs and seems to be being protective of Chloe, though she has got better with this during her time in foster. Chloe will have a bark at other dogs too. They were quite polite, though generally unimpressed, with two collies that visited their foster home recently. Chase cats: The girls thinks that little legs were made for running after cats! Milly and Chloe therefore need a cat-free home. Good with children: They have both been very good with visiting children aged over 5. As Milly and Chloe are getting on in years though, we would prefer any resident children to be aged 11+, so that the girls can have quiet time when they need it. Enjoy walks: Milly walks well on the lead, until she sees a cat, and Chloe is good on the lead. Neither of them has great recall but they are learning and getting better. They need two or three walks per day of around 20-30 minutes each walk. Milly Good in the car: Their foster carer tells us that Milly is fine in the car and Chloe is very good in the car. Chloe Milly's favourite pastimes: Cuddles, belly rubs and little walks. Milly Chloe's favourite pastimes: Spending time in the garden, belly rubs and chilling. Their ideal home: They would love to be with someone who has plenty of time to spend with them, in a quiet home with a safe, easy-access garden for them to enjoy. Also important is a nice level, shady spot in the garden for their paddling pool please! Sleeping arrangements: They sleep on their foster carer's bed and we have the evidence, below. Only offer them a home if you are happy to share your bed with the sausages! Health notes: Milly and Chloe are both neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and they have been wormed and flea treated. Since coming into rescue, Milly has had a dental and she needed 8 teeth out. She has healed very well. Milly has a cyst on her eye that may need attention at some point but it isn't troubling her at the moment. Chloe has also had a dental and she needed 3 teeth out. She has also healed well. Chloe has a slight heart murmur but she doesn't need medication as things stand. Foster carer's summary of the girls: " Milly is cuddly, comical, nosey and loving. Chloe is sweet, friendly, loving and easy going. " Do you need these two little rays of sunshine in your life? If you would like to offer Milly and Chloe a permanent home together, please read our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact the Oldies Club rehoming team as follows: Email: for an application form. Or , leaving a message including your email address, and we’ll email an application form. They can be rehomed anywhere on the UK mainland – the closer to their foster home the better – subject to a satisfactory home visit. Note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to collect them. If you would love to offer a home to an oldie but your circumstances aren’t suitable, perhaps you would be kind enough to sponsor one of the special oldies we are caring for that, due to health problems, are unlikely to be offered a permanent home.

What life with Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages looks like

Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milly Chloe, the smartest sausages and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
