Milo

English Bulldog · Male · Young · 3 years

Meet marvellous Milo, a fun loving, sensitive boy looking for his perfect furever home! Being a young Labrador Milo is always on the go! He enjoys going for walks and having off lead time in a secure paddock to stretch his legs. Milo will need a family who can keep up with his energy levels and have time to commit to enriching him physically and mentally. He loves his food, is keen to learn new tricks and enjoys a good cuddle and scratch! Milo came to us through from a loving home where he previously lived with children. Milo could live with children over the age of 8 in his new home who can demonstrate respectful behaviours around him and not overcrowd him. Milo is looking for his own private garden where he can sniff around, relax and refresh his house training skills! Milo would benefit from areas that are not highly dog populated with lots of dogs off lead as he has shown to be worried around other dogs and this could heighten his worry and reactivity. Milo needs patient, kind new owners who can take the time to build up his confidence around meeting other dogs, maybe even benefitting from some regular, steady walking buddies who can show him the ropes! If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Milo, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest.

About Milo

What life with Milo looks like

Milo is a large young adult english bulldog dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
