Milo

English Bulldog · Male · Adult · 5 years

Meet our little party pug Milo! Sweet Milo arrived at Battersea through an animal partnership, meaning we have no information on his history with any previous owners or in a home environment. Milo is a lovely Pug x who has proven himself to be a bubbly boy who loves playing with his toys and spending time in the company of people! Milo has struggled to settle into kennel life, and often struggles being left alone in his kennel. He can also become overwhelmed by the busyness of the Battersea site and gets stressed by all the dog traffic he has to pass when on walks. He has shown some nice social skills around dogs but is keen to keep hold of his independence so would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Milo is looking for a home in a quiet location with owners who can facilitate his time alone training and socialisation needs, but he is also looking for a home with a family that will match his love for them! Milo is a perfect candidate for a home with owners who are looking for a bubbly wiggly companion who can keep them company and bring them endless joy! Milo could potentially live with sensible teens and possibly a calm, confident cat. He will need a quieter location with quiet walking routes to minimise his stress out & about. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Milo, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest. tch for the dog you have contacted us about

About Milo

What life with Milo looks like

Milo is a medium-sized adult english bulldog dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
