Miluś

Male · Young · 2 years

Miluś is a small, smooth-coated puppy with classic beauty and a black-and-tan coat. The puppy arrived at our shelter in very poor condition - thin, with many ticks. He is delicate and so far very overwhelmed by the animal shelter - he quietly lies on his bed and watches his surroundings, probably trying to figure out what's going on. Right now we already know that he is very well-mannered with other dogs - he looks into other kennels with great interest, greets the dogs, who also respond very well to him. He is not pushy, behaves carefully, and it's clear that he has the confidence typical of dogs that grew up on a farm. For Milusia, we're looking for a home in a quiet area and a person who will surround him with proper care, but also show understanding, because it's possible that Miluś may need more attention at first - it's not unlikely that he doesn't know city life, enclosed spaces and comfortable sofas, as well as typical household sounds like an espresso machine or vacuum cleaner. So we are looking for someone who will support Milusia in adapting to his new life. It would certainly be helpful, for example, a nice female dog of similar size.

PL·Show original

Miluś to malutki, gładkowłosy piesek o klasycznej urodzie i czarno podpalanym umaszczeniu. About Miluś

What life with Miluś looks like

Miluś is a small young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Needs patient owner for adaptation to urban life, may be unfamiliar with household sounds and indoor living

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miluś, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miluś?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miluś on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miluś if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miluś already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miluś isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miluś and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
