MIMI

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Mimi, a young female Bengal cat, was born around 2023. She is friendly and affectionate. Mimi is available for adoption on 16.08.2026. She would love to go home with Simba and Maxmus! Mimi is a beautiful young cat. There are no papers to prove her lineage, but her previous owner's family believes she is a purebred Bengal. Unfortunately, her owner recently passed away and Mimi and her three sons were left alone in a hot, musty apartment with minimal care. When the landlord threatened to put the cats on the street, Mimi and her sons Maximus and Simba were taken to the animal shelter. The third cat was taken by the owner's ex-husband. Initially, Mimi was skeptical of her new humans, but after a few days she settled in and became a friendly, affectionate cat. As a typical Bengal, she chats a lot and makes funny noises when eating or being petted. She is playful but not overly lively and enjoys being touched and lifted. Mimi can be dominant towards her sons and shows them who's boss; she is the mom, after all. She has not yet made much contact with the other cats in the shelter, but she has not been there long. In her previous home, there was a small dog, so her new family should also have a cat-loving and friendly dog. It would be wonderful if Mimi could move in with her two sons to her new home. However, we know how difficult it is to find adopters who can take in three cats. If she leaves without her boys, it would be important that another cat is waiting for her, as she has lived in a group of four for a long time and is social. She would also do well with older children who know how to handle cats. An outdoor area, such as a connected balcony or a secure garden, would be great. We hope she finds her own family soon.

Standort: in Spanien Geboren: ca. 2023 Geschlecht: weiblich Charakter: zutrauliche, anhängliche Bengalkatze S..16.08.2026GERNE ZUSAMMEN MIT SIMBA UND MAXMUS! 16.08.2026Diese wunderschöne, junge Katze ist Mimi.

About MIMI

What life with MIMI looks like

MIMI is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Animal Help Espania in Odelzhausen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting MIMI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MIMI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Help Espania handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MIMI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MIMI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Help Espania will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MIMI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MIMI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Help Espania early rather than rehoming privately; they know MIMI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
