Mimosa was found in the dunes by a volunteer who was walking her dog. It was clear that she had been abandoned, as there was a plastic bag with her belongings next to her. It was also clear that she was not used to being around other cats, as she was scared of her roommates for the first few days. However, she is extremely affectionate with people and craves attention. She does not need another cat, but if there is a calm, non-dominant cat, Mimosa would appreciate it.

Mimosa werd gevonden in de duinen door een vrijwilligster die haar hond aan het wandelen was. Het was heel duidelijk dat ze daar was gedumpt, want naast haar lag een plastiek zak met haar spullen. Het werd ook duidelijk dat ze geen soortgenoten gewoon was want de eerste dagen was ze bang van haar kamergenoten. Naar mensen is ze echter een uitermate grote knuffel, gek op mensen en verslaafd aan aandacht. Een ander katje hoeft voor deze dame niet maar als er een rustig, niet dominant katje aanwezig zal Mimosa dit wel kunnen appreciëren.
