Fiesta

European Shorthair · Female · Adult · 6 years

Fiesta was found some time ago with other cats in an abandoned farm in the countryside. Their safety was at risk and they were captured, all of them were placed in a foster family, but Fiesta had a hard time, a life outside where she could go and stand wherever she wanted. She blew at everything and everyone at first, except for other cats. Her foster family has worked wonders, she has made the connection, Fiesta now feels safe and likes to be petted by her foster family. Because of her past, her foster family would like to place her in a not too busy family where other cats are already present. She also gets along well with not too busy dogs.

NL·Show original

About Fiesta

What life with Fiesta looks like

Fiesta is an adult european shorthair cat waiting at ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fiesta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fiesta?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fiesta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fiesta if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Fiesta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fiesta isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fiesta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
