Mimosa

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Mimosa Rasse: Mixed Size: approx. 35 cm Born: January 2026 Sex: Female/Neutered Location: Debrecen (Hungary) Compatible with dogs? Unknown Compatible with cats? Unknown Housebroken? No Participation: 450,- Euro Mimosa - small legs, big heart Sometimes it doesn't take a big dog to bring a big dose of love into life. Our enchanting Mimosa is the best proof of this. With her short legs, long body, and incredibly cute appearance, she almost resembles a little comic character. But even more beautiful than her exterior is her wonderful character. Mimosa is an incredibly loving, gentle, and kind dog. She encounters people openly and friendly and loves to be near them. She also especially likes children. She is simply a little soul that conquers hearts at storm. Mimosa also gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She doesn't seek a fight and behaves submissive towards other dogs. Only when it comes to her beloved toys or treats does she sometimes want to keep them to herself. She shows this behavior exclusively towards other dogs - she is friendly towards people in such situations as well. Mimosa can already walk well on a leash - at least as long as she decides that her little legs have done enough for today. Then she just lies down and would love to be carried. She is currently working lovingly with this so that she learns that continuing to run can be worthwhile. Mimosa is expected to keep her handy size of about 35 cm. We wish for this little heart dog people who love her not only because of her incredibly sweet appearance, but who want to show her how beautiful a home can be. People with whom she can arrive, find security, and be a part of the family forever. Maybe Mimosa is just waiting for you? Who will give this little, special mouse the home she deserves - and never let go of her again? NOTE: If you are interested in one of our dogs, we first need a self-disclosure from you. The corresponding questionnaire can be found in the respective ad of the dog on our website www.tierschutz-pfote.de, which you can fill out online. About Mimosa

What life with Mimosa looks like

Mimosa is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. in Lohmar.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mimosa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mimosa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mimosa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mimosa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mimosa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mimosa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mimosa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
