Adopt Mina

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

Vaccination + Rabies Senior Mina seeks her cozy forever home The enchanting female dog Mina is nine years old, about 30 cm tall, and weighs around 12 kg. She is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Mina tested positive for Babesiosis but is already in treatment and does very well with it. Additionally, Mina has issues with her front legs, which are also being medically cared for. It is currently assumed that she has arthritis – she is being cared for and supported accordingly. On her foster home, Mina can be met – there, she clearly shows what she loves best: lazy days. She is happiest when she can lie by the fireplace or bask in the sun on her belly. She is also happy for small, calm walks – as long as everything stays nice and relaxed and without fuss. Other dogs are known to Mina, but she does not necessarily need them to be happy. Cats are also familiar to her. More important to her are the people: she currently lives with children and gets along very well with them. In general, Mina loves any form of attention and cuddles – and does everything for affection. She is overjoyed every time. One can meet the sweet mouse at her foster home in 86498 Tafertshofen. For Mina, we wish for a quiet home where she can simply arrive and enjoy herself – a place where she can relax, let her soul dangle, and get lots of cuddles and treats. Who will gift this loving senior dog a warm dog bed and lots of security?

About Mina

What life with Mina looks like

Mina is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ankerhunde e.V. in Novi Grad.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇧🇦Adopting from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ankerhunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ankerhunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ankerhunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
