MINNIE

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our Cats.BREED: Cat, Domestic Short HairSEX: Female (Neutered)AGE: Aprox. 3 YearsMinnie was brought in to us because her owner was moving for work and unable to take her with them.We were told she was a healthy, young cat before she arrived - but immediately after arrival it was noticed she had problems with her mouth. Sadly her previous owner did not tell us she had a problem - a problem which had been left untreated causing her a lot of suffering bless her. Sadly to make her comfortable, she has had to have ALL her teeth removed, which sounds awful but just think how much more comfortable she is now feeling without the pain she was suffering with before. Because this was such a major thing for her, she had this done over two separate procedures, and we are pleased to say she has now recovered from her 2nd dental and has healed well and is a much happier cat now!Minnie has been a huge expense to DBARC, but all the animals in our care deserve the very best treatment, and we are grateful to our vets for helping her. Minnie is now fit and well, eating her soft food well and is ready to move out into her forever home. She's a delightful, friendly girl who is going to make her new owners very happy, we hope she finds her perfect family very soon. Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this catIf the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved

About MINNIE

What life with MINNIE looks like

MINNIE is a extra-large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at DBARC Animal Rescue Centre in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting MINNIE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MINNIE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. DBARC Animal Rescue Centre handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MINNIE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MINNIE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — DBARC Animal Rescue Centre will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MINNIE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MINNIE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with DBARC Animal Rescue Centre early rather than rehoming privately; they know MINNIE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
