Mira

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Mira (aka Mirela i Mirabelka) is living gold, you know - she's still a puppy, everywhere she is, and she's just starting to explore 💛 And a fun fact - she's looking for her home! What can we already say about her, even though this acquaintance isn't very long? By the way, this acquaintance wasn't even planned - Mira was found abandoned, all alone, taken to the forest. She was very lucky that the person who found her was Gosia. And with the words of this person, who found this little-big companion, we can say that Mira is brave and curious, but above all she thinks a lot about the world and the events around her. She thinks first, then acts. It looks like she will become a reflective lady ☺️ She is nice to people, and has been accepted by the dogs living in the house as one of their own. She gladly joins the commotion of the company and it's said that there are those who get carried away by it! She is about 6 months old, weighs around 20kg and will still grow a bit 😉 Mira is currently near Kolno, in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Mira is under the care of the Association From the Forest Area, which runs the adoption process and reserves the right to choose the caregiver.

Mira (aka Mirela i Mirabelka) to żywe złoto, wiadomo - jeszcze jest szczeniakiem, wszędzie jej pełno i dopiero wyrasta z chęci do psot 💛 A i ciekawostka - szuka swojego domu! Prosimy o kontakt SMS - oddzwonimy!

About Mira

What life with Mira looks like

Mira is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mira, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mira?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mira on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mira if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mira already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mira isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mira and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
