Miro

Mixed Breed · Male · Baby

Breed: Widdermix-Dwarf Rabbit Gender: male, neutered on April 1, 2026. Miro can safely approach females starting May 13. Date of birth: mid-2025 Appearance: Miro has a snow-white, silky fur, blue eyes, and floppy ears. Why at the animal shelter: Miro did not get along with his former partner and had to live alone for a long time. His owners realized that it wasn't good for him and brought him to the animal shelter. Health: No noticeable issues. Personality: Miro is a friendly, young rabbit, as one would expect. He can hardly sit still due to youthful energy, is open, cheerful, and curious. One must simply love the little white whirlwind! Miro wishes for a home with loving people who will spoil him with yummy fresh hay and where a female rabbit of a similar age is waiting for him. Then action is guaranteed! Miro's new people can then watch the latest acrobatic hooks every day during the daily release of the two, grinning at how they frolic with boundless joy. General husbandry information: Rabbits are social animals and must therefore be kept at least in pairs. We discourage single housing. Our neutered male rabbits are looking for a female rabbit, and our female rabbits are looking for a neutered male rabbit as a partner. Generally, rabbits of a similar age usually fit best together: young rabbits usually have much more temperament and energy, while older ones need more rest. Rabbits do not like to spend their time in cages. They want to hop around as much as possible in the house. It is best if they have a large run or their own room. As a retreat option, they need a wooden house or cardboard boxes. The most important food for rabbits is hay, hay, and more hay. Only by grinding hay can they wear down their teeth as nature intended. In addition, a daily ration of fresh food (vegetables, but no or very little fruit) is important. Fresh water should always be available. Dry food should only be offered sparingly or as a treat. Nibbles, crackers, and the like are marketing gimmicks by the feed manufacturers and are more harmful to the rabbit. For inquiries and advice:. This cat needs outdoor access.

Rasse: Widdermix-Zwergkaninchen Geschlecht: männlich, kastriert am 1. April 2026. About Miro

What life with Miro looks like

Miro is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed rabbit waiting at Tierheim Feucht in Feucht.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Feucht handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Feucht will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Feucht early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
