adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Miro has found its own home! His story: The little Miro had a tough start in life. Found together with his mother Amberly and his eight siblings Lira, Benedict, Sol, Knopf, Rocky, Mikado, Smyrna, and Kira on the street, he was left completely on his own. Without help, the little family would have barely survived, but luckily they were rescued in time. Now, Miro can recover in a Romanian foster home and eagerly awaits the day he finds his own home. At about 3 months old, Miro is a curious, playful male dog full of life. His beautiful brown fur and striking black face make him a special sight. His dark, shiny button eyes look full of expectation and touch everyone. Since he only knew life on the street so far, things like house training or walking on a leash are still foreign to him. But with loving support and patience, he will quickly learn all of this and become a great companion. In a few months, Miro will enter the exciting phase of puberty, a time full of new discoveries but also small challenges. With understanding and consistent training, as well as a family that lovingly accompanies him, he will develop into a wonderful and loyal companion. Who gives Miro the chance at a safe, happy dog life? Even a foster home that eases his transition into family life would be a great help. Has this sweet look captured your heart? Then feel free to contact! After a positive match, a heartfelt thank you to Anna, who gave Miro his name and thus an identity. Date: 06.04. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 06.04..2025

About Miro

What life with Miro looks like

Miro is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
