adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Miss Bowle has found her people! Her story: The beautiful female cat Miss Bowle is now approximately 4.5 years old and hopes to find a lovely home with a loving family. She lived until recently with other cats in a local vegetable store. The man had to close his store due to health reasons, which resulted in Miss Bowle and the other cats being left on the street. Although they were found, Miss Bowle lived in a cage isolated due to her illness, as no one had taken her in. Miss Bowle tested positive for FIV and FeLV, but this does not limit her quality of life. FIV is a viral disease that can lead to a weakening of the immune system. However, this is not a reason not to adopt her. FIV-positive cats can, just like FIV-negative cats, reach a ripe old age. The virus is exclusively transmissible to cats, and humans and other animals cannot be infected. A FIV-positive cat can even live with a FIV-negative cat as long as there are no bloody altercations. Nevertheless, Miss Bowle should preferably be kept alone. The young female cat is very friendly and cuddly. She would be overjoyed with a family that will give her lots of love and attention. Despite her illness, she can have free roam, but only in a secured area, such as a secured garden or a networked terrace. Alternatively, a cat-safe netted balcony would also be an option, from which she can observe her new surroundings. Miss Bowle can now start her journey to her new home and is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, and she also comes with an EU pet passport. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Miss Bowle

What life with Miss Bowle looks like

Miss Bowle is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miss Bowle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miss Bowle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miss Bowle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miss Bowle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miss Bowle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miss Bowle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miss Bowle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
