Missy

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 2 years

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION BY APPOINTMENT ONLY ON FRI/SAT/SUN THIS WEEK Hi everyone, I am the gorgeous Missy. I came to YCR with my babies when we were found all alone outside. Now my mummy duties are over, I am ready to find my furever home and I cannot wait!! Whilst at YCR I have been in my lovely foster home. My foster mummy says I am beautiful on the inside and out with such a sweet and loving temperament. I love attention and a fuss! I love to be stroked first thing in the morning and if I am not receiving attention I will definitely let you know with my little churp. I can't wait to make the best companion for someone. As I was a stray it is unknown how I will be with other cats, dogs or children. But with the correction introductions, I maybe okay. If you think I am the girl for you then please click 'Apply Here" and fill in an application form. I can't wait to meet you xxx

About Missy

What life with Missy looks like

Missy is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Missy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Missy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Missy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Missy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Missy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Missy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Missy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
