MLECZ

Unknown · Senior · 11 years

Mlecz is a cheerful, small dog with an extraordinary charm. He was found and brought to the shelter. Most of the day, he spends inside his kennel, curled up in his blanket, which makes it hard for people looking to adopt a dog to notice him. Mlecz is incredibly friendly and wins the heart of anyone who gets the chance to meet him. He loves cuddling. He’s about 10 years old, but it’s hard to believe, because whether on walks or during playtime in the exercise yard, he’s bursting with energy. In his kennel, he happily greets everyone—even strangers—and effortlessly lets them put a harness on him. On walks, he adjusts beautifully to his owner’s pace. He’s mastered walking nicely on a loose leash. It happens fairly often that he barks at other dogs, but this is an area we’re still working on. The veterinary clinic isn’t his favorite place. During visits, he gets very stressed, but tackling this challenge together with his beloved, trusted person will surely make it easier for him. Mlecz would be an ideal companion for both younger and older people. He’d also do well around older children. Mlecz really needs his human family—a home where he can fully enjoy life. PL·Show original

Mlecz to wesoły, niewielki psiak o niezwykłym uroku. Został znaleziony i przywieziony do schroniska. Większość dnia spędza w środku boksu, wtulony w swój kocyk, dlatego osobom szukającym pieska do adopcji trudno go zauważyć. Kontakt do wolontariusza: 539 641 840

About MLECZ

What life with MLECZ looks like

MLECZ is a small senior dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting MLECZ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MLECZ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MLECZ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MLECZ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MLECZ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MLECZ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know MLECZ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
