Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen

European Shorthair · Unknown · Adult · 9 years

The cats do NOT live in the animal shelter!!! Due to a family exception situation and the upcoming house sale, our three free-roaming cats are looking for a new loving home. The cats can be given individually or as a group. Each cat comes with some accessories as well, including an outdoor shelter that we provide and some toys, etc. We will split the accessories among the three. It would be great if there isn't a heavily trafficked street nearby. A yard or a single-family home would be ideal. Here are some character traits of the cats. Morle: black, 9 years old, female, neutered and microchipped (registered with Tasso), can also be kept as an individual cat as she avoids or tolerates fellow animals. She often sleeps the whole day on the couch or wanders around for 3-4 days. She doesn't like food with wild or fish. She is shy around visitors. Leo, a red and white tomcat, neutered and microchipped (registered with Tasso), about 8 years old. Leo gets along with kittens but I would not recommend a tomcat in the household. On the street, he usually avoids other tomcats and doesn't fight. His desire to be outdoors is great, but he is happy to stay indoors for a day or several hours and sleep on the couch. He likes cardboard boxes and is curious when, for example, there are contractors around. He gets along with the neighbor's dog. Pünktchen, female, neutered, around 6 years old, not microchipped, white fur with a striped tail and spotted markings on her back. She likes to catch mice and even rats, she likes to be petted without complaining (including the belly) and is playful. We don't know if she uses the litter box, as she is mostly outdoors and only spends about 2-3 hours inside on average, then she wants to go back outside. She sleeps outdoors all year round. For questions and serious interest, please feel free to send a message. Contact: Tel.: E-Mail:. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

Kontakt: Tel.: E-Mail:

About Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen

What life with Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen looks like

Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen is a small adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheimverein Erfurt in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheimverein Erfurt handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheimverein Erfurt will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheimverein Erfurt early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mohrle, Leo & Pünktchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
