Mohrle Wohnungskater

European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 10 years

Lara and Mohrle - together looking for a quiet home Lara and Mohrle are two older cats who came to us together. They had to leave their previous home because their owner moved to a nursing home. This is a big change for them, so it's especially important that they are not separated from each other. A familiar duo Lara is a tabby female cat, born in June 2016, spayed and rather reserved. She already allows petting, but needs some time to gain trust. Mohrle was also born in June 2016, spayed and a handsome black male cat. He comes from the same household and would very much like to move to his new home with Lara. Since the two have spent their entire lives together, we want to keep them in the familiar company of each other. Therefore, Lara and Mohrle are being placed together. Quiet home wanted Both cats have probably lived as indoor cats, but this is not definitely confirmed. For their new home, we are looking for a quiet and loving household without children, where the two can arrive at their own pace. It is especially important for Lara that her new people have patience and understanding. She doesn't have to be an instant lap cat - it is much more important that she feels safe and can slowly build trust. Together in their new life Lara and Mohrle have already experienced a big change with the loss of their previous home. Now we wish for the two stability, peace and above all a shared forever home. Anyone looking for two slightly quieter cats and giving them the time they need to arrive could find a very special duo in Lara and Mohrle. Two familiar souls that give each other support and companionship.

About Mohrle Wohnungskater

What life with Mohrle Wohnungskater looks like

Mohrle Wohnungskater is a large adult european shorthair cat waiting at Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mohrle Wohnungskater, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mohrle Wohnungskater?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mohrle Wohnungskater on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mohrle Wohnungskater if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mohrle Wohnungskater already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mohrle Wohnungskater isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mohrle Wohnungskater and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
