Mokassin is a reserved tomcat who was picked up on a farm by a concerned neighbor. Since the owners refused to cover the veterinary costs, a veterinary practice took on both the cat and the expenses, and then transferred him to our animal shelter. Here, he is now searching for his new home, which he truly deserves. So far, he has shown himself to be very reserved and cautious. It's clear that he hasn't yet adapted to such an environment. However, he can be approached well. He allows himself to be pet and can already enjoy it in calm moments. With some time and trust, he will surely learn to appreciate such affection. We are looking for a home for the sweet cat with a rural outdoor area and understanding people who will give him time and show him how wonderful evenings on the couch, exciting playtime, or just the warm heating in winter can be. We don't know how Mokassin gets along with other cats, but since he previously lived with several cats and has since been neutered, he could certainly make a friendly fellow animal.

Mokassin ist ein zurückhaltender Kater, der von einem besorgten Nachbarn, auf einem Hof aufgegriffen wurde. Da die Besitzer die anfallenden Tierarztkosten nicht tragen wollten, hat eine Tierarztpraxis den Kater und die Kosten übernommen und ihn dann zu uns ins Tierheim weitergegeben. Hier sucht er nun sein neues Zuhause, in dem er auch wirklich gewollt ist. Er zeigt sich bis jetzt noch sehr zurückhaltend und vorsichtig. Man merkt, dass er sich ein solches Umfeld nicht gewöhnt ist. Dennoch kann man sich gut an ihn herantasten. Er lässt sich kraulen und streicheln und kann es in ruhigen Momenten auch bereits geniessen. Mit etwas Zeit und Vertrauen, wird er solche Zuneigung aber sicherlich zu schätzen lernen. Wir suchen für den süssen Kerl ein Zuhause mit ländlichem Freilauf und verständnisvollen Menschen, die ihm Zeit lassen und ihm zeigen wie toll gemeinsame Abende auf dem Sofa, spannende Spielstunden oder auch nur die warme Heizung im Winter, sein können. Wir wissen nicht, wie sich Mokassin mit anderen Katzen versteht, da er jedoch früher mit mehreren Katzen zusammen gelebt hat und in der Zwischenzeit auch kastriert ist, könnte er sicherlich zu einem freundlichen Artgenossen ziehen.
