Adopt Mollete

Podenco · Male · Young · 1 year

animal shelter Galgos en Familia Input 13 april 2026: Mollete arrived with his loyal companion Torrija at our shelter. Together, they were left in a small village in Málaga. Fortunately, there was a kind woman who took care of them and gave them food every day until they could be safely brought to the shelter. She told us how happy they always were when they saw her coming - a small moment of happiness in an uncertain time. Mollete and Torrija share a special bond. They take care of each other, groom each other, cuddle together and rarely leave each other's side. We know little about their past, except that they have always been together. Their connection is beautiful to see and shows how much they mean to each other. For Mollete (and preferably together with Torrija) we are looking for a warm and loving home, where they can stay together and maintain their bond. A place where they can finally experience rest, safety and unconditional love. Mollete is a kind, calm podenco of 1 year old who gets along well with other dogs. The size of Mollete is currently unknown and has been requested at the animal shelter. Would you like to give them this chance and become their new family?

About Mollete

What life with Mollete looks like

Mollete is a medium-sized young adult podenco dog waiting at description in AL Ridderkerk.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mollete, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mollete?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. description handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mollete on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mollete if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — description will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mollete already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mollete isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with description early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mollete and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
