Molly

Female · Puppy · 10 months

Molly began her life and the bad experiences in Romania where she was born. An association took her in to get her out of the street and the beatings, and she has grown up so far in a foster family that is running out of their ability to educate her as it should. From their experience, Molly is very kind even if a bit shy at first. Sometimes fearful of men, she has everything to learn and discover as she has known nothing. The city still scares her, as do new situations, water and bushes! :) She is very playful and affectionate and only asks to be stimulated and learn. She remains very young so it will take time and patience again with this kind of dogs to educate her as it should and make a really comfortable girl. But we can already see at the shelter that she is a nice dog and we wish her the best. We have put "Good understanding with children" but not those at a young age.

FR·Show original

Forum: Molly

About Molly

What life with Molly looks like

Molly is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at Refuge des Bérauds (Romans-sur-Isère) in Romans-sur-Isère.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Molly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Molly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge des Bérauds (Romans-sur-Isère) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Molly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Molly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge des Bérauds (Romans-sur-Isère) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Molly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Molly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge des Bérauds (Romans-sur-Isère) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Molly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
