Adopt Momo

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! May we introduce? The magical Momo is waiting to find her own family. Her start in life was anything but easy: She was found together with another dog by our animal welfare worker Sorin. She had to be treated in the clinic with a broken leg and wore a cast for two weeks. But Momo has fought her way back into life with great courage – her leg has healed and she is now fit and ready for her new adventure: a loving home! Momo is approximately 5.5 months old and will likely grow to be medium-sized. She is simply irresistible in appearance: With her short, sandy fur, cute button ears, and attentive gaze, she immediately wins everyone's heart. Character-wise, Momo is a super friendly, loving, and active young female dog. She loves people, is playful, and curious about the world. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is also open and playful with cats. For Momo, we wish for a home with people who will show her the world with patience and love and enjoy growing with a puppy. Dog training classes would certainly be a great support. Her new family should also be aware that Momo still doesn't know what life in a loving family is like. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of her. She needs people who can approach her with lots of love and patience, and maybe even attend some positively working dog training classes with her and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being left alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will likely test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Momo will definitely become a great lifelong partner. Momo is age-appropriately not yet spayed, but is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings her EU pet passport with her and can be fostered after a positive assessment. Sweet Momo would also be very happy with a foster home! Many thanks, dear Diep! You gave Momo her name. As of: 09.05. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank, lieber Diep! Du hast Momo ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 27.05.2026

About Momo

What life with Momo looks like

Momo is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Momo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Momo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Momo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Momo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Momo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Momo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Momo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
