Adopt Monsun

Male

Virtual caregiver is Alicja. Update: During his stay at the animal shelter Monsun, he has changed a lot and has become more open to interacting with people. Now, he eagerly approaches the caregiver, shyly asking for petting and strokes. The little pup is calm and well-mannered. He can walk nicely on a leash. He is exceptionally friendly and will surely be a wonderful companion. He will bring a lot of joy to his new home and will love his new guardians with all his heart. Monsun is a medium-sized pup found on the premises of the Wieliszew municipality. The dog is very stressed and intimidated by the unfamiliar surroundings. We need to give him some time to acclimate, get to know his new guardians, and build trust with them. At the moment, Monsun does not want to form closer relationships with people and reacts with clear dislike to attempts at approaching him.

Wirtualnym Opiekunem jest Alicja Aktualizacja: Podczas pobytu w schronisku Monsun bardzo się zmienił i otworzył na kontakt z człowiekiem. Teraz chętnie podchodzi do opiekuna nieśmiało prosząc o pieszczoty i głaski.

About Monsun

What life with Monsun looks like

Monsun is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Monsun, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Monsun?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Monsun on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Monsun if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Monsun already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Monsun isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych early rather than rehoming privately; they know Monsun and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
