A sweet, confident, young guy. Moose was living on a farm in Croatia with a pack of dogs and wasn’t quite finding his place there. He loves peace and routine, and sometimes he found the restless dogs a bit annoying—and he’d let them know, in a polite way. The caregiver found it hard to deal with this and asked Liz for help. That’s how Moose ended up with us. After spending a year and a half in a home, Moose has now returned to us once again. Sometimes life takes turns we don’t expect, and in this case, the circumstances at his previous home have changed so drastically that they could no longer provide him with the care and guidance he needs. With much love, we’ve therefore made the difficult decision to bring Moose back, so that we can once again start looking for a place that better matches what he requires. Right now, we’re giving Moose time to settle down again in peace. At the same time, we’re helping him learn better ways to cope with stimuli and situations that he finds exciting. Through targeted training, clear structure, and consistent guidance, we’re helping him step by step build more calmness and confidence. Moose is looking for a home—preferably one with a garden. He’d love sporty owners! He enjoys long walks, but he’d also absolutely love cycling, hiking, running, and more. If you’re looking for an active companion for life, then Moose is “your guy”! Leuke, zelfverzekerde, jonge vent. Moose zat op een boerderij in Kroatië met een roedel honden en kon zijn draai niet helemaal vinden. Hij houdt van rust en regelmaat en de onrustige honden vond hij soms wat vervelend en vertelde ze dit dan ook, op een nette manier. De verzorgster vond het moeilijk hiermee om te gaan en vroeg Liz om te helpen. Zo is Moose bij ons terechtgekomen. Na anderhalf jaar in een thuis te hebben gehad, is Moose weer bij ons teruggekomen. Soms lopen dingen in het leven anders dan verwacht, en in dit geval zijn de omstandigheden van zijn vorige thuis zodanig veranderd dat zij hem niet langer de zorg en begeleiding konden bieden die hij nodig heeft. Met veel liefde is daarom de moeilijke beslissing genomen om Moose terug te laten keren, zodat wij opnieuw op zoek kunnen gaan naar een plek die beter aansluit bij wat hij nodig heeft. Momenteel geven we Moose de tijd om weer rustig te landen. Tegelijkertijd begeleiden we hem in het beter leren omgaan met prikkels en situaties die hij spannend vindt. Met gerichte training, duidelijke structuur en begeleiding helpen we hem stap voor stap om meer rust en vertrouwen te ontwikkelen. Moose zoekt een huis, liefst met een tuin. Sportieve baasjes zou hij tof vinden. Hij houdt van lange wandelingen, maar ook fietsen, hiken, rennen, etc. zou hij fantastisch vinden! Als je een actief maatje voor het leven zoekt, dan is Moose 'your guy'!
