Moxie

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

Moxie is a 8-week-old golden mix who is already showing a strong personality. She loves to explore, play, and be close to her human family. Moxie and her eight siblings were abandoned in the woods, too young to survive on their own. Fortunately, they were discovered by a woman who asked for our help. The litter is currently safely housed in a Romanian shelter. Moxie is a great example of how mixed breeds can be unique and beautiful. Her golden coat is stunning, and every detail is captivating. As an adult, she will likely be medium-sized, with a few more inches possible. Her breed is unknown, but a shepherd mix is a possibility. If she inherits those traits, she could become an intelligent, active, and loyal companion who forms a close bond with her family. Shepherd dogs are attentive, eager to learn, and need mental stimulation. Moxie would love long walks, discovery tours, and games. She may also enjoy dog sports later on. Those who choose Moxie can look forward to an exciting time together. As a young puppy, she will need to learn many things, including the basics, boundaries, and rules for a harmonious life. During puberty, she may test her limits. Loving consistency, clear guidance, and a reliable framework will be especially important. Moxie is curious about other dogs and meets them with friendliness and openness. She has also met cats and knows they can be part of her life. After a positive pre-check and the adoption of a deposit, she will travel with a microchip, vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, and an EU pet passport. Due to her age, Moxie has not been spayed. Moxie is ready for her next chapter. Who will show her that home is not a place, but a person with whom she can stay forever? She would also be happy in a foster home. Thank you, Katharina, for taking on her name sponsorship. Date: 18.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Moxie

What life with Moxie looks like

Moxie is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moxie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moxie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moxie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moxie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moxie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moxie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moxie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
