Mr Bean

Male · Young · 1 year

I’m a young Staffy X Pug with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. I’m a friendly, goofy lad who throws himself into everything he does, and I’m looking for a family to share lots of adventures, fun and laughter with! Tuggy games are my absolute favourite, and if there’s a toy involved, you’ll usually find me right in the middle of the fun. I’m also a clever boy who loves his food, which means I’m always eager to learn and enjoy showing off what I can do in return for a tasty treat. I’m happiest when I have something to keep my clever brain and busy body occupied. Keeping my mind busy is just as important to me as stretching my legs, and I thrive when I have plenty to do. I’m looking for active, experienced owners who understand the energy, intelligence and character that come with bull breeds. I have lots of potential and would love a family who can continue my training, help me channel my enthusiasm, and give me the time, guidance and consistency I need to flourish. For now, I need to be the only pet in my home, where I can soak up all the attention for myself. I’ll also need a secure, private garden where I can play, explore and burn off some energy. I could live with sensible children aged 11 and over, and once I’ve settled into my new routine, I should be comfortable being left for around 2-4 hours. What I’m really looking for is a family who will embrace my playful nature, celebrate my progress, and enjoy helping me grow into the very best companion I can be. In return, I’ll fill your days with fun, loyalty, affection and plenty of reasons to smile. If you’re looking for a best friend with Staffy spirit, Pug charm and a heart full of love to give, I can’t wait to meet you! About Mr Bean

What life with Mr Bean looks like

Mr Bean is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Lincoln.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mr Bean, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mr Bean?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jerry Green Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mr Bean on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mr Bean if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jerry Green Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mr Bean already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mr Bean isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jerry Green Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mr Bean and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
