Adopt Muffin

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 9 months

Muffin is adorable, truly one of a kind! Just look at the patterns on her little body, the black markings scattered across her otherwise pure white fur. Look at her completely black tail, as if it’s been dipped in paint. Look at the tiny spots above her nose, like a little Charlie Chaplin mustache. And those smudges that look like eyebrows, giving her such a unique expression. You could never mistake Muffin for any other cat. She came to us with her sister, Sue, when they were just one month old. Sue had a severe eye condition and we had to remove her eyes, but Muffin wasn’t in such bad shape. Still, her vision is quite limited—she probably sees shadows and senses light—but you wouldn’t even notice it if the vet hadn’t told us. Muffin is a joyful little kitten. She climbs all over you, asking for cuddles and playtime. She craves contact, activity, affection. But most of all, she’s looking for a family—to welcome her, to love her, and to make her one of their own. Our little Muffin is a special soul, and she truly deserves a happy life.

About Muffin

What life with Muffin looks like

Muffin is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Save a Greek Stray in Metsovo.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Muffin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Muffin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Save a Greek Stray handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Muffin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Muffin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Save a Greek Stray will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Muffin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Muffin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Save a Greek Stray early rather than rehoming privately; they know Muffin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
