Tito (Τιτο)

From a puppy up for adoption… to an adult stray on the streets. Tito was born in October 2020 and adopted when he was just one month old. He began growing up with his family, but at some point they moved abroad and Tito was abandoned. We found him in October 2025, during a spay and neuter campaign we were carrying out in Oropos. He was microchipped and registered to an owner, but he was not neutered, was severely underweight and dehydrated, and we have no way of knowing how long he had been trying to survive on his own on the streets. We began caring for him immediately, even though we had not yet received the official decision from the Public Prosecutor that would allow us to formally take him into our care. We followed all the necessary procedures and today Tito is officially one of the dogs at our shelter. And he is doing well. He has regained his strength and, little by little, he is also beginning to regain his trust in people. On walks, he is calm and cooperative, happily sniffing and exploring his surroundings, and he gets along very well with other dogs. In a new environment, he may be a little reserved at first, but it does not take long before he starts exploring and feeling more comfortable. He comes over for affection on his own, seeks out human company and is easy to handle. As time goes by, we are seeing more and more of his true personality. The only thing missing now is a family that will love him for who he is today and will still be there tomorrow, and years from now. Because adoption is not only about the little puppy we bring home one day. It is also about the dog that puppy will grow into and the commitment to stand by them throughout their entire life. Animals are not toys. They are family. And we do not abandon our family.
