Mule

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Open-minded, curious, lively, and self-confident—seven little puppies, all alone, helpless, and without their mother. They were found after a vigilant woman first took care of them and eventually asked us for help. We’ve taken the little ones into our animal shelter. They’re part of countless litters that we’d love to help—but our capacity is long since exhausted, and every day we’re confronted with the painful reality that we simply can’t save them all. These seven puppies were lucky; they’ve been given the chance for a safe, loving life filled with care, warmth, and hope. Now, we’re hoping each of them will find a loving home where they can finally grow up without a care in the world. Every rescued soul reminds us why we keep going—and at the same time, it reminds us how many animals are still waiting for their chance. Now we’d like to introduce you to our seven little charges one by one. Each of them already has its own distinct personality, and we’re excited to see how they’ll continue to develop. Mule is an open-minded little guy who always wants to be right at the front of the pack. He’s interested in everything, highly communicative, and loves to chime in—even if it means barking loudly! Patience isn’t yet among his greatest strengths—after all, he might miss out on something exciting. All the puppies will be ready to go starting at the end of August and are looking forward to finding loving families who’ll show them—with patience and understanding—how wonderful a sheltered dog life can be. They’ll be ready to leave at the end of August. Their adult size is estimated to be 50–55 cm. All are vaccinated, microchipped, and have an EU pet passport. They’ll also be tested for Mediterranean diseases according to their age. See our website for more details. Every dog we place makes room for a new dog from the streets, where animals must eke out an existence, starving and emaciated. PLACE OF STAY

About Mule

What life with Mule looks like

Mule is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. in Greece.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mule, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mule?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mule on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mule if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mule already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mule isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mule and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
