Mummy Sheep

Mixed Breed · Unknown

We are not lying, this is the same sheep! Mumma came to us skin and bone and we were told she was very old. She came along with her baby Freddie who she loves but sadly could not provide enough milk for him. She is such a lovely sheep full of fight and spirit. During her time here she has changed into a totally different animal. It is beyond belief. She is now double the size and verging on obese! If you choose to sponsor any of the sheep the money will go towards building them a bigger and permanent home on the new land.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mummy Sheep, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mummy Sheep?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tenerife Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mummy Sheep on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mummy Sheep if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tenerife Animal Sanctuary what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Mummy Sheep already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tenerife Animal Sanctuary directly what is included and what Mummy Sheep still needs.
What happens if Mummy Sheep isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tenerife Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mummy Sheep and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
