Mylo

Labrador Retriever · Male · Young · 2 years

Mylo is a sweet natured boy who is eager to make friends and get lots of fuss from his humans. He’s a typical Labrador with lots of energy, so he’ll need plenty of exercise and time spent playing with his favourite toys. Mylo does tend to pull on the lead when he’s out for walks, but he’s incredibly smart, so with ongoing training he shouldn’t have trouble learning to be the perfect walking companion. We can’t wait to see Mylo thriving in his forever home! Say hello to our beautiful 2 year old Labrador, Mylo! He’s a bouncy boy who is looking for the perfect family to play with. Mylo is full of beans, and he will jump up when he’s excited – which is most of the time! For this reason, his ideal home would be with older secondary school children or above, who are confident around energetic dogs. Mylo is housetrained, and once he is settled in the home, he could be left by himself for 4-6hrs at a time. Mylo is looking to be the only pet in the house as he has been known to resource guard, and he'll need to continue working on making doggy friends whilst out and about. He’s such a gorgeous boy and we know he’ll bring his people a lot of joy and love!

About Mylo

What life with Mylo looks like

Mylo is a young adult labrador retriever dog waiting at Dogs Trust Cardiff in Cardiff.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mylo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mylo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Cardiff handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mylo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mylo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Cardiff will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mylo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mylo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Cardiff early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mylo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
