Nadya

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Mixed-breed Nadya—a little fighter seeking her happy ending. In her young life, little Nadya has already endured much hardship. Following a tragic accident, she suffered numerous fractures and required surgery. Yet this brave little lady has made an incredible recovery and can finally enjoy her puppyhood just as every young dog should. Currently, Nadya is living at a foster home in Bulgaria and is now ready to find her forever family. Nadya is friendly, open, and curious. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, approaches people with love and affection, and thoroughly enjoys every cuddle and stroke. We’re looking for patient people who will give her the time she needs to settle in peacefully and adjust to her new life. Her difficult past and injuries should always be kept in mind. Above all, we’d like to find her a home where she’ll be loved and can finally live without a care in the world. Nadya still has so much to catch up on. She longs to learn, grow, go for walks, play, romp around, and explore the world together with her humans. Anyone who understands that a puppy requires time, patience, and responsibility—and is prepared to offer all of that—will find in Nadya a loyal companion for life. Who will open their heart to tender Nadya and give her the home she’s been hoping for so desperately? Adopting a rescue dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also be quite challenging. These dogs come with a backpack of past experiences or unlearned behaviors and need time to adjust to their new lives. If you’re seriously interested in adopting Nadya, please get in touch with the responsible adoption coordinator from SALVA Hundehilfe. We’d also be delighted to receive offers of foster care.

About Nadya

What life with Nadya looks like

Nadya is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nadya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nadya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nadya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nadya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nadya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nadya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nadya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
