Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! Nala was traveling with her brother on the streets of Romania. Alone, helpless, and without her mother. When we found the little ones, it was already too late for her brother. Nala was lying next to her dead brother and no longer understood the world. Even though we could do nothing for her brother, at least Nala is now safe. Nala is currently about 5 months old and weighs 10 kg. She will probably reach a medium size in the future. She has beautiful red-brown fur with light accents on her chest and paws. Despite her fate, Nala is a very friendly and open little dog girl. She loves people, other dogs, and even cats. Any playmate, whether two or four-legged, is warmly welcome with her. Pup-like, Nala loves to run, play, and cuddle. Soon, an exciting time will also come for Nala. Puberty. During this time, the little troublemakers tend to forget everything they have learned and it seems like all the training was in vain. The teenagers test limits and want to know how resilient their humans' nerves are. But just as quickly as they arrive, they are also gone again. And with love, patience, and consistency, you can get through this time. It's just part of it, and we were no different. We wish Nala a loving home where she may learn the basics of being a dog. People who show her the world, experience adventures with her, and give her a wonderful dog life. We are sure that Nala will develop into a wonderful companion that you won't want to miss. Nala travels microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and dewormed to her new home. Her suitcase including the EU pet passport is already packed. After a positive Has Nala captured your heart? Then please contact us! Also, a foster home would make the little magic mouse very happy. A big thank you goes to Paulina! Thank you for giving Nala this beautiful name and thus hopefully a future. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Nala

What life with Nala looks like

Nala is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nala, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nala?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nala on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nala if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nala already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nala isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nala and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
